The second wedding in my new weekend series comes to us just days before Christmas! Many brides want to take advantage of the built-in vacation time around Christmas, but don't want a Christmas wedding. I admit the only theme I like for a wedding is a wedding theme, but I absolutely believe the season should inform the feel. One nice way to acknowledge the season without coming on too strong is to incorporate tartan touches into winter wedding decor. The classic plaid pattern is perfect in place of a theme for the more traditional bride.
Whether it's with a sash, table settings, shoes or the ribbon around the stems of the bouquets, there are many ways to incorporate tartan into a winter wedding:

Thank you, Sharon!!! I had been planning it since I was six-years-old, so you know... ;)

I love the red accents, too! I think some girls might shy away from the boldness of red for a wedding, but I had red accents at my July wedding--I thought they gave the decor a fun and unexpected pop of color!
Thank you, Andrea!!! I know--wedding + tartan = mind blown!!!
