hermès for the holidays

12.10.2013

Following our move from Boston to Charleston, I suffered from a severe case of fall withdrawal and frankly I couldn't get enough orange in my life. I originally intended to publish this post around Halloween ("Hermès orange for Halloween"), but shockingly I procrastinated--or got distracted--or both, so it turned into a Thanksgiving post ("Hermès orange for the harvest"). But I kept on procrastinating, and now it is Christmas time...although it certainly doesn't feel like Christmas time in Charleston! It is still 80 degrees here, and the leaves have just started to change, so I figure it still works? As far as I am concerned, Hermès always works--it's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year ;-)

So here is some Hermès orange...for the holidays!:

I know exactly how you feel about fall withdrawal! It is still in the 80s here in Miami, and I'm still running around in sundresses!! I absolutely love orange, and especially Hermes orange. And those illustrations are absolutely precious.... I think I'm going to need an Hermes tray!

XOXO,

Well the weather up here FINALLY cleared up this afternoon and it has cooled-off a bit, so there is hope yet for getting in the Christmas spirit!

And aren't those illustrations so much fun? I would like one of each (an illustration AND a tray!)! Off to add them to my "Presents for Emilie" board now! ;-o

Despite my blue and green crush, I do love a little orange! Need to figure out how to incorporate it into my home (or save these inspirational pics for our next place). Elle

Oh, Hermes will go with anything! ;-) Plus a pop of orange will open a space up to endless color opportunities!

I know! I was just in an Hermes store last week and boy was it a humbling experience! :( I am going to plan to start with one of those illustrations and work my way toward the real thing!
