I don't know which I love more--a good margarita on the rocks with salt, or these beautiful, blue-rimmed margarita glasses. In all honesty, I love a good margarita more, and although I don't really care what kind of a glass (or pitcher. Or bucket?) it comes in, that cobalt rim always seems to make a margarita even more festive and fun. These glasses are a staple in every beach house kitchen; here's where you can find them for your beach house (regardless of whether or not it is on the beach...):
($8/glass)
($9.95/glass)
(about $20/tumbler pictured, but a set of four margarita glasses is $27.96)
(image: Taylor Lord.)
And last, but certainly not least, the perfect margarita recipe from Real Simple:
3/4 cup tequila
1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from 4 to 6 limes)
1/2 cup Triple Sec or Cointreau
1 lime, sliced
salt (optional)
-In a medium pitcher, combine the tequila, lime juice, and Triple Sec or Cointreau
(optional: add 1/2 cup water to above).
-Rub the rims of 4 glasses with a lime slice and dip in salt to coat. Serve the margaritas in the prepared glasses
over ice and garnish with the lime slices.
Enjoy!
Emilie
