monday makeunder: a sea glass inspired interior

1.27.2014

This time of year I start to suffer from Spring Fever. And the only cure for my fever? Here's a hint: it's not more cowbell.

It is supposed to snow here in South Carolina tomorrow, so I may have to suffer a little longer until the arrival of Spring. At least I can find inspiration in the beautiful, beach-y spaces that grace the pages of glossy magazines. And Pinterest.

Today I got my fix from the following sea glass inspired interior by Victoria Pearson.

Pearson's interior incorporates different design elements, bringing unique style to the space by mixing casual comfort with eclectic accents. And a variety of textures and surfaces offer added interest, as well.

Oh gosh Emilie I know exactly what you mean. This winter has been challenging at best. Did you know that Lowe's has a similar sputnik-esque chandelier too? Saw it hanging on the lighting aisle the other day. So fun!

Ooooh--great catch! I was in Lowe's yesterday, but the only thing I saw was a whole lotta washing machines, ha, ha! Next time I am going to reward myself with a trip to the lighting aisle! ;)

That made me feel beachy just looking at it. I love the glass lamp from Target!

So so lovely. I snagged a single cane chair just before Xmas that's an arm-chair version of the original chair in your inspiration shot. I have no idea what they're called but I 'm dying to get it fixed up for use!
Great makeover, E. I wish Target in Oz had a few of the gorgeous things they seem to have in the States. wah wah wah wah!

Awwww, thank you so much, Wendy! SO exciting about your new chair!!! They are just stunning, aren't they?! You must share its makeover with us!

As for Target, it might cost you a small fortune, but could you order online and have stuff shipped? Otherwise, I can be your personal shopper and hoard stuff until you come to visit...

Tehe, I like the idea of a personal shopper & hoarder! lol x

Welcome, Lynn! SO glad you are here! :) I apologize that you were not able to subscribe via e-mail today, but if you check back tomorrow (Wednesday), you will be able to, as my little homemade blog is about to "grow-up!" ;-)
