I have been busy! I just returned from a fun trip to Boston to visit family and friends, and now that I am home in Charleston and all of the holiday traveling is behind us, we are finally getting back to our house hunt!
But until we have a home to decorate, my lofty ideas will have to remain on my Wednesday wishlist...
Today's wishlist item is the spindle (or spool, or bobbin) chairs. These sturdy chairs are traditional, but add an element of interest to a room with their textured arms and legs, and can become even more fun with custom upholstered cushions:
Enjoy!

I too love these chairs and am currently on the hunt for a pair. I hope I'm not asking for too much when I specify that I want them in natural wood finish and in good condition :)
It can't hurt to try! ;) Best of luck on your hunt and keep me posted!!!
I've been noticing that style more and more. Each photograph can show the same style with a different wood finish or paint, and fabric, and they all look so uniquely different! Beautiful photos!

Another great roundup, Emilie!! I cannot wait to follow your house hunt!

Spindle chairs are on my wishlist too, and you've shown some to-die-for examples. I just posted a blog post featuring the California home that Laura Motley designed- so I have the same pic! Those chairs have been pinned on my inspiration board above my desk since the day I got my issue of Coastal Living...love them!! Elle
I think Wisteria Sells them.
sent you a pin of one I saw today at zgallerie on sale! the cushions are red but you could recover them :)
Ooooh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I think I may know the one you are talking about and I was thinking the same exact thing!!! I am going to go look now!
Thank you so much, Natasha! I will have to go check!
Michelle that is too funny--I wrote a room recreation post about Motley's room on the CL cover back in June because I love it SO much! I am going to head over to read your post now!
Thank you, Andrea! The house hunt is so consuming--we are scheduled to see more than ten houses tomorrow! Can you tell I've been busy? :-/
Yes! That's one reason I love them so much--they look equally beautiful in different spaces with different styles!
