friday finds from flair vintage décor!

1.03.2014

As promised, I have more fabulous Friday finds for you today from my husband's hometown of Nashville!

I have been following A Flair for Vintage Décor on social media for quite some time, so when I learned last spring that the home décor boutique was located in Nashville, I knew I had to see it for myself! I waited patiently for my next visit to town so I could finally meet owner and designer Caroline Roche West and see all of her finds at Flair.

While decorating her own home a few years ago, Caroline was hoping to compliment her inherited pieces with some additional vintage pieces, as well as some new accessories to reflect today's style. Caroline explains that she got the idea to begin her own business when she couldn't find a local store that offered a mix of both the vintage and new, and so began A Flair for Vintage Décor!

These days, Caroline collects coveted vintage finds from antique stores and estate sales around Nashville and beyond. After collecting her treasures, Caroline treats them with a little TLC and then sells them alongside a selection of new home accessories from her Nashville storefront. Finds range from furniture to lighting to small decorative accessories. Although it was hard to choose, my favorite pieces included various vintage elephant garden stools and the more modern acrylic clam shell bowls. Oh! And those pagoda lanterns! To die for! Pieces are primarily of the Hollywood Regency, Mid-Century modern, and Palm Beach styles. Swoon.

Caroline also offers in-home design services! I should have asked if she was willing to travel...

Caroline was so accommodating and welcomed me into her beautiful store the day before Christmas Eve! After greeting me and giving me the grand tour (with the help of her adorable 15-month-old daughter), I snuck around to snap some photos to share with you!

Here are some of my favorites from Flair:

Enjoy!

It is a pity that I am not even in the right country for that store. What a delightful store with well chosen merchandise. The bamboo chairs and that malachite pillow range is so lovely!

I've been a fan of her blog for a while now. If I'm ever in Nashville, she's my first stop! I'm dying over the Pagoda lighting too!!! I'm on the lookout for an elephant garden stool. So far none in site.

The shop looks amazing! How did you resist it all?

Money. In all seriousness, everything was very reasonably priced, which made it even harder to resist! But I am always more broke than usual right before Christmas. I guess I'll have to go back... ;)
